Who is Troy Jackson's son?
Troy is the father of two grown sons and, as of September 2026, a grandfather.
Troy Jackson has two sons, both grown, with his longtime partner, Lana. In September 2026, Troy became a grandfather for the first time, with the birth of a baby girl. He has talked about both ends of that story: the years he missed while his kids grew up, and the granddaughter he got to hold.
Raising kids on a logger's hours
For years Troy worked 80-hour weeks as a logger, cutting wood and driving trucks. In his TV ad "80 Hours," released August 26, 2026, he said what those weeks cost him at home: "You know, I never got a chance to see my kids grow up, and I still didn't make enough for what we needed."
His first grandchild
On September 30, 2026, Troy wrote: "As I welcome my first grandchild into the world, I’m reminded of why I’m running for this seat".
His first granddaughter was about two weeks old when Troy went on Morning Joe in October 2026. He told the show: "my son and his partner brought my first grandchild in, and you know she's only like two weeks old." Then: "I mean, holding her, I mean, it really capsulized everything I've been doing for the last 30/35, years, about why this is important."
