Jackson Attends Canvass Launches Across The State Encouraging Mainers To Hit The Polls

MAINE, USA —  Fifth-generation logger, former Maine Senate President, and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Troy Jackson joined union members, organizers, and volunteers on Saturday at canvass launches across the state, encouraging Mainers to hit the polls as the final week of early voting begins.

“We are less than two weeks out from election day, and there is too much on the line to sit this one out,” said Jackson. “For 30 years, Maine has had a senator that works for the billionaires and corporations that fill her pockets, while everyday working people have been cast aside, left to deal with rising costs and stagnant wages. Get out and vote so that everyday Mainers will have a senator that works for them, not the ruling class.”

Troy started his day in Westbrook with the IUPAT, rallying union members as they headed out to knock doors.

In the afternoon, Troy attended a canvass launch in Bridgton, meeting with organizers and volunteers.

In Bethel, Troy held a town hall to meet voters where they are at, answer their questions, and encourage folks to make their voting plan ahead of election day.

Troy stopped in Windham to rally volunteers as they headed out to knock doors and talk with voters.

Troy ended the day at the Hearts of Pine game in Portland, celebrating the launch of the new women's team, Maine Wildness, alongside fellow fans.
