PORTLAND, ME — Fifth-generation logger, former Maine Senate President, and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Troy Jackson and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez held a town hall Thursday, taking questions directly from Mainers and speaking to their concerns and priorities as Election day nears. The event marked 11 town halls for Jackson since September 1 — that's 11 more town halls than Susan Collins has held in over 25 years. While Troy answers to Mainers, Susan Collins continues to hide from her own record.

“This is about changing our government. It always has been,” said Jackson. “I'm just lucky enough to be part of it now. We can do this, everyone. But get out and vote. Don't let them take this away from you, because we do have the opportunity to actually change the way this world's going. I can see it. It's right in front of us.”

“Susan Collins, one of the only Republican female senators in a unique position to protect every woman in America, decided to declare open season on us instead,” said Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. “I want to say for every woman in Maine, if we want to be able to deliver our children safely, and for our men, to in order to protect our families in moments of crises like these, the most important thing that we can do for women in Maine is to vote for Troy Jackson for the United States.”
