SCARBOROUGH, ME — Fifth-generation logger and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Troy Jackson joined Senator Ed Markey at a town hall in Scarborough Sunday afternoon focused on Troy’s long record of fighting for environmental issues as Maine Senate President. Troy continued along the campaign trail to Falmouth, where he rallied with supporters and volunteers ahead of Election Day.

“The price of gasoline is up. The price of home heating oil is up. The price of electricity is up. The price of natural gas is up. The price of healthcare is up. All of that is on the ballot on Tuesday here in Maine,” said Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey. “What we have an opportunity to do here in Maine in 2026 is to have the role in having a decisive and clear message being sent that Donald Trump must be made accountable for the affordability crisis.”

“I've been waiting for a time like this for a long time because I don't think government works for people I care much about. I'm excited to work with someone like Senator Markey,” said Jackson. “I think besides the fact that we take this government away from Donald Trump and restore the back of the hands of people, we also push the Democratic Party to do things that it hasn't done forever that would make people's lives better, and that's what I'm really excited about too. That we have real opportunities in this world to work for people that deserve it.”

After the town hall, Troy connected with supporters and volunteers at a meet and greet in Falmouth.
