PORTLAND, ME — Fifth-generation Mainer, logger, former Maine Senate President, and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Troy Jackson cast his absentee ballot at a mailbox in Portland this morning alongside organizers and supporters. Troy cast his vote ahead of the final week of early vote, encouraging all Mainers to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

“Today, I filled out my ballot and put it in the mail here in Portland, and it’ll make its way up to the northern Maine woods in Allagash where it will be counted for Election Day,” said Jackson. “We have a safe, secure, and fair election system here in Maine, and folks can trust your vote will be counted whether you mail it in, drop it off at the clerk's office, or vote in person on November 3rd. This election is too important to sit out, it could be the difference between a Senate that serves special interests and one that works for working people. Fill out your ballot, and make your voice heard.”
