Troy Jackson Raises $2 Million Since Securing Democratic Nomination

AUGUSTA, ME — Troy Jackson has raised $2 million since securing the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, fueled by contributions from more than 30,000 new donors.

More than 58,000 unique donors have now contributed to Jackson’s U.S. Senate campaign, underscoring the extraordinary grassroots momentum behind the fifth-generation logger and former Maine Senate president’s campaign to defeat Susan Collins.

“I’m humbled beyond words by the tens of thousands of people who have stepped up to become part of this campaign,” said Jackson. “Every contribution—whether it was five dollars, twenty dollars, or more—is a vote of confidence in the working-class movement we’re building together. I’m grateful to every person who has chipped in, volunteered, or told a neighbor about this campaign. This belongs to all of you.”

“We know what we’re up against,” Jackson continued. “Susan Collins has spent years voting with Donald Trump 96 percent of the time, helping him stack the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and supporting an agenda that guts health care while handing more power to billionaires and corporations. Defeating her won’t be easy, and we’ll need everyone in this fight. But this response proves that people across Maine and the country are ready to come together and finish the job.”

Jackson secured the Democratic nomination at Saturday’s Maine Democratic Party convention. A fifth-generation logger from Allagash, union member and former president of the Maine Senate, Jackson has spent his career taking on powerful interests and fighting for working people and rural communities.
