AUGUSTA, ME —  Fifth-generation logger, former Maine Senate President, and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Troy Jackson spent Thursday morning in Augusta touring a local food bank and delivering donations from his campaign and supporters to help Mainers in need. The food drive comes at a time when working-class folks are putting in more hours and still struggling to get by, due to higher prices and stagnant wages under Collins’ and Trump’s leadership.

“Susan Collins has voted with Trump 96% of the time, even when she knows it will make life more expensive for Mainers,” said Troy Jackson. “I worked 80 hour weeks in the woods, so I know the frustration of not being able to provide for your family no matter how hard you work. When I get to the U.S. Senate, I vow to lower costs across the board for everyday Mainers and be a check on Trump’s irresponsible policies.”
