PORTLAND, ME — Today, Troy Jackson for Maine launched a new ad, “Act” demanding action to deliver relief to Mainers as the cost of heating oil soars before winter. In the ad, Jackson speaks directly to Mainers and shares his own record of taking immediate action to lower energy costs for Mainers while in the State Senate.

Troy Jackson: It was November 2022, and I was hearing from Mainers worried that they couldn't heat their homes with heating oil at $5.20 a gallon.
Troy Jackson: So we took action quickly. I passed a law working with both parties that rushed emergency heating assistance to almost a million Mainers.
Troy Jackson: Today, with the war in Iran, heating oil is at $6 a gallon.
