BIDDEFORD, ME —  Fifth-generation logger, former Maine Senate President, and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Troy Jackson joined the Maine AFL-CIO for a Working Class Rally in Biddeford yesterday, celebrating solidarity with the Dropkick Murphys and encouraging his union brothers and sisters to get out the vote as we close out the second week of early vote in Maine.

Onstage, Troy was joined by Maine union leaders like President of the Maine State Nurses Association Kelli Brennan, Billy Bergeron of the Painters Union (IUPAT), President of the Maine AFL-CIO Cynthia Phinney, and Katie Grinnell, a nurse who was fired during the recent unionization efforts at CMMC.

“I've been waiting since I was 29 years old for everyday people to be able to step up and fight for the government that we deserve,” said Jackson at the rally Friday night. “Right now is our time all across this state and all across this country.”
