Jackson Joins Canvass Launches Across State, Cheers on UMaine Football Team

MAINE —  Fifth-generation logger, former Maine Senate President, and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Troy Jackson met with workers, union members, and voters at Democratic office openings in Rockland and Bangor, and attended a tailgate event at the University of Maine Orono football game for the Maine Black Bears on Saturday.

“This is the most energy I have ever seen for a race in Maine,” said Jackson. “My promise to all of you is to be a partner in this fight, to never back down, and to build a government that finally works as hard for working people as working people have always worked for this country.”

In Rockland and Bangor, Troy rallied volunteers before they headed out to knock doors for candidates up and down the ballot. 

Later that day, Jackson rallied with voters and students ahead of the UMaine football game.
