MAINE, USA — Fifth-generation logger, former Maine Senate President, and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Troy Jackson spent Sunday roadtripping across Maine as a get out the vote effort ahead of early vote beginning on October 5. At ‘Take Action with Jackson’ stops in Waterville and Bangor, a town hall in Ellsworth, and a virtual town hall with the Washington County Dems, Troy connected with supporters and volunteers highlighting their hard work and emphasizing the importance of Mainers having a plan to vote.
“With early voting starting, it’s more important than ever to have folks knocking doors and talking to their neighbors about what’s at stake in this election,” said Jackson. “This is a movement like I’ve never seen before in Maine, and people are ready for change. With less than a month before Election day, it's crucial we make sure Mainers are registered and have a plan to vote so we can retire Susan Collins and elect a senator Mainers can trust to represent the interests of everyday people.”

Troy’s first ‘Take Action with Jackson’ stop of the day was in Waterville, joining volunteers and supporters at an MDP canvass launch.

For the next stop of his GOTV roadtrip, Troy visited Bangor, speaking with supporters about the importance of talking to neighbors and friends about making a plan to vote.

Troy hopped on zoom for a virtual town hall with the Washington County Democrats to speak directly with Maine voters on the issues that matter most to them ahead of the election.

For the final stop, Troy landed in Ellsworth for his second town hall of the day, hearing directly from voters about their priorities to take to the U.S. Senate.
