NEW PSA: Troy Jackson Directs Mainers To Heating Assistance As Iran War Stretches, Winter Approaches

Visit JacksonForMaine.com/Heat for additional information and resources

PORTLAND, ME — Fifth-generation logger, former Maine Senate President, and Democratic nominee for US Senate Troy Jackson released a new PSA today sharing information on heating assistance as winter approaches. \

Right now in Maine, energy costs are hitting record highs because of the war in Iran that Susan Collins voted 5 times against stopping and has yet to hold any oversight hearings on. Diesel in Maine is hitting over $6 a gallon and heating oil is 80% more expensive as Mainers have to fill up their tanks to keep their homes warm this winter.

As Troy says “it's going to be a hard winter for a lot of us. But no one has to face it alone.”Go to JacksonForMaine.com/Heat to find heating assistance near you.

Watch “HEAT” here:

Troy Jackson: There's a lot of ads telling you how to vote in November. This isn't one of them.

Troy Jackson: With the war in Iran driving up energy costs, it's going to be a hard winter for a lot of us. But no one has to face it alone. There are free wood banks, assistance programs for overdue bills, and energy relief.

Troy Jackson: So please, if you're worried about staying warm this winter, go to JacksonForMaine.com/Heat. We've got a list of resources there to point you in the right direction. So stay safe. I'm Troy Jackson, and I approve this message.
